Banff is a historic coastal town with many finely restored 18th century buildings, it has a pre-reformation mercat cross, a fine Tolbooth Steeple and a Town House, nearby Duff House, a baroque mansion built in the 1730s by William Adam is a country house gallery of the National Galleries of Scotland.
Across the bay is Macduff, a busy fishing port where fresh fish can be bought from the harbour shop.
